Pumpkin Carving
I decided to give Dada a challenge this year by picking the most complicated pumpkin design from the carving pattern book that mama bought. When I saw the picture, I thought it was a castle where princesses live! Turns out it’s really a haunted castle. Dada did a fabulous job and we ended up with a beautifully carved pumpkin! Pumpkin Patch
Dada was all excited about carving a pumpkin this year so we all headed out to the pumpkin patch to pick out a big pumpkin. Let’s see how much I’ve grown in the past year…
A Party
Cousin Jonathan turned 1 month old today and we went to his birthday celebration dim sum lunch. Mama got the time mixed up and we ended up being half an hour late! The food was delicious and we girls had fun hanging out.
Grandma-mar-mar’s Birthday
It was grandma-mar-mar’s big birthday, and Goo-Goo came all the way from Hong Kong to join the birthday celebration dinner. It was a fancy seven course dinner and we had our own private room. Elyse and I also had our special dishes and we both enjoyed the birthday dessert! Remember to check out all the photos from the party under the “Photo Albums” page.
Maui Vacation
If you all remember, mama debut my blog the last time we went to Maui. I was only 16 months old back then!
I didn’t remember much of that trip, but I sure was looking forward to this one! As is almost always the case, I somehow always end up getting sick before a trip. Even though I was all better a few days before the trip, mama and dada decided not to take any chances and decided to keep me at home for the rest of the week to quarantine us I guess!
Unlike last time, I did really well on the plane. Once we got there, I had so much fun! Given the time difference, we were up before 7am local time almost everyday. We played on the beach, and I swam with dada everyday. We went to Lahaina and went souvenir shopping and had yummy shaved ice. I also went to my first luau and I loved all the hawaiian dances! I was so happy that when I woke up on the third day, I turned to mama and said “Mama, I LOVE Hawaii!”. After a fun long week, I went home with a nice golden tan.
The first photo below is mama’s favorite shot from the trip. Be sure to check out all the other photos from our trip under the “Photo Albums” page.
Swimming Freestyle
I continue to work on my swimming. Here I am practicing my freestyle after class.
I LOVE the Beach!
Just like last year, Dada earned a free weekend night from the Starwood Hotel summer promotions from all his business travels, so we all packed up and headed to the St. Regis in Monarch Beach for a one night getaway. Although it has been sunny and warm all month, unfortunately we ended up with overcast skies on our day of travel. Even though weather was not the greatest, we still had fun on the hotel private beach. When mama went inside to take a nap with Elyse, dada and I hung out by the pool. The skies cleared up and dada actually got a bit sun burnt on the back of his neck! We then enjoyed a kid’s dinner buffet at the hotel, and attended the kid’s story telling and s’mores event. Surprisingly to mama, I didn’t really care for the s’mores. Since we all stayed in one room (with no separate living room), we all ended up asleep by 10pm. It was a fun getaway and a great prelude to our upcoming Maui trip. Remember to check out all the photos from our trip under the “Photo Albums” page.
Dunking
I am getting more comfortable in the water. While I’m not brave enough to dive in yet, I have no problem getting all submerged in water!

This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.
A Major Hair Cut
Since my friend Riley cut her hair, I was open to cutting my hair too. Mama was super excited as it would mean much easier hair washing and blow drying for her, which is a big deal given my weekly swimming lessons and it being summer. So here you go…
Elyse got her hair cut too. Here we are looking all cute together!
Orange County Fair
We joined Yee-yee, Uncle Kerry and Jacquelyn at the county fair today. We went on a few carnival rides, ate some yummy carnival food, and showed off our dance moves!
